Pop-Culture fun fact – Click

The Adam Sandler movie Click is based off of a Goosebumps story of the same name. From my understanding there’s no official statement saying that the Goosebumps story is a direct Inspiration for the film, however they’ve both got the exact same name, they both have a similar premise. That being a person gets a “universal remote” that actually controls the universe. The powers that the remote has are mostly the same, but the specific characters and situations are totally different. In the Goosebumps story it’s a kid who gets the remote from the store with his dad, and in the Adam Sandler movie it’s a grown man who does so.

The basic concepts are both the same, and the the names are also the same therefore I think it’s pretty obvious that this was no coincidence.
