Google Chrome OS Flex is now available for PCs and Macs – The Verge

I’ve actually been looking forward to this being out of beta. I think once Windows 10 is at it’s official end of life in 2025 a lot of people and businesses will probably end up switching over to Chrome OS.

Don’t Like Windows 11? Zorin OS Is An Attractive Alternative!

Still on the subject of operating systems this is a neat little video by one of my favorite Linux YouTubers DistroTube. It’s exploring Zorin OS, a very Windows-esque Linux distribution that’s based on Ubuntu. I’m actually interested in trying the “Lite” edition of Zorin OS on an old HP laptop I’ve got laying around. If it works properly it might end up being a good path to move to once Windows 10 is over as well.

Introducing PlayStation Stars – An all new loyalty program

“Today, I’m pleased to reveal PlayStation Stars, a brand new loyalty program that celebrates you, the player, for being on this ever growing gaming journey with us. PlayStation Stars will be free to join when it launches later this year. Once you become a member, you’ll earn rewards by completing a variety of campaigns and activities. Our “Monthly Check-In” campaign simply requires you to play any game to receive a reward, while other campaigns require you to win tournaments, earn specific trophies, or even be the first player to platinum a blockbuster title in your local time zone.”

“Also, as part of PlayStation Stars, we are unveiling a new type of reward called “digital collectibles.” Collectibles are as diverse as our portfolio of products and franchises. They are digital representations of things that PlayStation fans enjoy…”

I like the idea of this, however I think most programs like this end up having rewards that feel like you’ve wasted your time. Wallet funds and PSN downloads are all good ideas, the “digital collectibles” not so much. I’ll try this out if I’m able to join it, but I doubt it’ll worth the time.

PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for July: Stray, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Marvel’s Avengers

I’m excited to see a new release like Stray coming out on PSPlus. I’ll be curious to see if this becomes a normal thing or not. One of the biggest digs I’ve actually seen people take at PSPlus honestly has been about how “they only have old games” meanwhile this months Gamepass releases feature such hits as Peppa Pig and Power Wash Simulator… so yeah.

I like the addition of FF7 Remake Intergrade, I’m not sure if it’s possible but being able to stream PS5 games on the PS4 would help Sony their inability to meet supply demands on PS5s.
